Sweden has been really underwhelming to watch this season. We went from watching Zlatan Ibrahimovic who was one of the greatest strikers of all time to having 2 strikers who combined cost over 200 million pounds, but still couldn’t qualify for the World Cup. Alexander Isaak, who left Newcastle United for a record signing of 125 million pounds, was actually decent for the Swedish team even though he has been out for 4 months. However, Victor Gyokeres who went to Arsenal for a whopping 85 million pounds has played below standard in every game he has played in since he has had more hair flicks than actually touching the ball. Their first game to Slovenia went to a draw after an assist from Gyokeres and a finish from Ayari. Ayari also had an assist in the same match and Elanga scored, giving Ayari man of the match. Their next game saw Sweden lose to Kosovo in a devastating 2-0 loss. Their 3rd game saw them lose to Switzerland in a 2-0 game in front of their fans in their stadium with Alexander Isak hitting the woodwork and Begvall missing an open touch goal from Isaak. In their 4th game they were wishing to bounce back from their streak of losing, but in the end they lost 1-0 to Kosovo.
